Allowing Location Access on Android

Grant the TimeTrakGO mobile app permission to use your location on an Android device.

TimeTrakGO records your GPS location at the moment you punch. For that to work on an Android device, location must be turned on for the device and the TimeTrakGO app must have permission to use it.

Quick Summary

  1. Go to Settings > Location.
  2. Make sure Use Location is on.
  3. Go to Settings > Apps > See All.
  4. Scroll until you find the TimeTrakGO app.
  5. Tap the app, then tap Permissions:
    • If Location is set to Allowed — tap Location and verify that it is using a precise location.
    • If Location is set to Not Allowed — tap Location, choose Allow only while using the app, and verify it is also using precise location.

Step 1 Turn On Device Location

Go to Settings.

Then Location.

Then verify Use Location is enabled.

Step 2 Find the TimeTrakGO App

Next, go to Settings > Apps.

Find the TimeTrakGO app — you may need to click on See all.

Step 3 Set the Location Permission

Tap the app, then tap Permissions.

  • If Location is set to Allowed, tap Location and verify that it is using a precise location.
  • If Location is set to Not Allowed, tap Location and choose Allow only while using the app, then verify it is also using precise location.
