AI Connect uses MCP (Model Context Protocol) to link your TimeTrakGO account to Claude AI. Once connected, you can query your time and labor data directly from the Claude chat interface — whether you use Claude on the web at claude.ai or through the Claude Desktop app. Setup takes about 5 minutes.
What You Need Before You Start
- A TimeTrakGO account with AI Connect enabled
- A Claude account — either at claude.ai or via the Claude Desktop app
- Your TimeTrakGO username and password
If you don't see AI Connect in your TimeTrakGO account, contact your administrator or reach out to TimeTrakGO support to have it enabled.
Step 1 Find the MCP Server URL in TimeTrakGO
- Log into TimeTrakGO.
- Go to Feature Manager > AI Connect > Settings.
- Under the MCP Configuration section, copy your MCP Server URL.
- You'll enter this URL — along with your TimeTrakGO username and password — in the next steps.

Step 2 Add the TimeTrakGO Connector in Claude
- Open Claude — either at claude.ai in your browser or in the Claude Desktop app.
- Click Customize in the left sidebar or top menu.
- Click Connectors.
- Click Add, then select Add Custom Connector.
- Enter a name for the connector, such as TimeTrakGO.
- Paste in the MCP Server URL you copied from Step 1.
- Click Add.
The connector will be added to your list but will show as not yet connected. Continue to Step 3 to complete the setup.
Step 3 Connect and Authenticate
- In the Connectors list, find TimeTrakGO and click Connect.
- A login prompt will appear — enter your TimeTrakGO username and password.
- Click Allow to grant Claude access to your TimeTrakGO data.

Step 4 Verify the Connection
- Open a new conversation in Claude.
- Look for the connector or tools icon in the chat interface. This confirms Claude has an active connection to TimeTrakGO.
- Type a test question such as: "Who is currently clocked in?"
If Claude returns data from your TimeTrakGO account, the connection is working.
Troubleshooting
I don't see a Customize option or Connectors section.
Make sure you're logged into Claude at claude.ai or have the latest version of Claude Desktop. The Connectors feature requires a Claude Pro or Team account. The connector shows as disconnected after I added it.
Click Connect next to the TimeTrakGO connector and complete the login. The connector must be explicitly connected after it is added. The login prompt fails or shows an error.
Double-check your TimeTrakGO username and password. Make sure there are no extra spaces and that your account is active. Contact your administrator if you're unsure of your credentials.Claude returns no data for a valid question.
Confirm that your TimeTrakGO account has active data for the time period you're asking about. Also check that your user account has permission to view the records you're querying.Revoking Access
To disconnect TimeTrakGO from Claude:
- Go to Customize > Connectors in Claude.
- Find the TimeTrakGO connector and click Disconnect or remove it entirely.
To immediately block access, change your TimeTrakGO password under My Profile or have your administrator disable your account.
