To prevent editing on past punches, you have the option to lock your hours. A lot of companies like to lock their hours for the previous payroll once they have submitted and completed all editing and paperwork.
To do this you would need to follow the following steps:
Go into "Company Setup" and then into "Settings" in the first tab "Payroll" here you will find the lock hours settings at the bottom of the page.
From there you will want to click on the calendar, it will open up the calendar and allow you to choose the date you would like to lock hours through.
Once you have chosen your date, you will get this message, to proceed click "Continue"
You will then want to click the blue "Lock Hours" button
Once you have clicked the blue "Lock Hours" button, your choice will be saved. You will see All hours through (date) are currently locked.
You can check to make sure this is accurate by going into the "Time and Hours" menu, choosing your date from the calendar, and making sure you see the dates locked out and you are unable to make any changes.
