TimeTrakGO supports having employees located in different time zones as well as employees that may Clock IN and OUT in multiple time zones per day. This article will help you understand how to view and edit these punches that may have occurred in a time zone other than yours.
When viewing employee time cards, they will automatically render in the employees' assigned time zone from their user settings page.
If their time zone is different than your assigned time zone, it will be indicated just above their total hours for the day. If you hover over the icon, it will explain that we are rending it as their local time zone and also which time zone that might be.
Editing a time card for an employee who is located in a different time zone.
When inserting a punch, it will default to that user's specific time zone. For example, if you are located in the Eastern time zone and have an employee located in the Pacific time zone you will enter a missing punch as their "local time". The insert punch window has been modified to include that user's time zone.
Editing a time card for an employee who worked in two different time zones during the day.
If the user has clocked out in a different time zone, you can modify this prior to inserting the punch. A good example of this is if you are located in the Eastern time zone and have an employee located in the Pacific time zone, however, that employee clocks out in the US/Mountain time zone. You will now be able to select that time zone when inserting the punch, and the system will indicate that it will appear as their local time zone once inserted.
