For the GOtime5 time clock to work with an RFID time card badge, each employee must have a unique, valid Badge ID assigned to their user profile. This guide shows two ways to assign one: from the TimeTrakGO web portal, or directly at the time clock.
Finding the Badge ID
The Badge ID is the longer, 10-digit number printed on the lower right of each RFID time card badge, for example 0002038846. This is the number the GOtime5 reads.

Note: You don't need to enter the leading zeros. For the example above, entering 2038846 works the same as 0002038846.
Method 1 Assign a Badge in the TimeTrakGO Web Portal
- Log into your TimeTrakGO account.
- Open the user profile of the employee you want to edit.
- Scroll down to the Time Clock Options section.
- In the Badge ID field, enter the 10-digit number from the employee's badge. Leading zeros are optional.
- Save the changes to the employee's profile.

Method 2 Assign a Badge at the GOtime5 Time Clock
Assign a badge directly from the clock by scanning it. You need a supervisor or administrator security profile to access the management menu.
- On the GOtime5 main screen, tap Manage.
- Sign in with a valid Login ID and password, an enrolled fingerprint, or an assigned badge.
- Tap User Management and Enrollments.
- Find the employee in the list and tap their name to open their profile.
- Tap Badge.
- Tap Capture Badge.
- When prompted, hold the employee's badge over the proximity reader. The clock reads the badge and assigns its ID to the employee's profile.

Tip: The proximity reader is just above the fingerprint sensor, where the card image is displayed.
Additional Information
User IDThe optional User ID field gives employees another way to clock in if they forget their badge.
Badge as an Alternative to FingerprintDepending on the clock's configuration, an assigned badge can also be used instead of fingerprint authentication, giving employees a flexible backup option.
