July 2026 Update

July 2026

This update brings expanded billing support, new dashboard filtering, meaningful performance gains, and a range of reliability improvements across kiosks, physical clocks, and the mobile app. Below is a summary of what's new and improved.

Billing

3D Secure Card Support
Cards that require bank-level authentication (3DS) are now fully supported when saving or updating a payment method. If your bank previously blocked the transaction, it will now work.

Dashboard

Filter the In/Out Board by Group
Supervisors can now filter the live In/Out Board and Recent Punches by employee group, making it much easier to monitor just your team at a glance.

Custom Export

Configurable File Header
The Custom Export Designer now supports an optional file header identifier row, useful for payroll systems that require a specific file format header.

Performance & Speed

Time & Hours: No More 9-Second Freeze
A noticeable UI hang after saving or recalculating time card data has been eliminated. Time cards are now responsive immediately after updates.
Faster Load Times on Two Key Pages
The Graphical View (puzzle piece) and the Time Off Center both load significantly faster. Less waiting, more doing.

Devices & Kiosk

Accurate Online/Offline Device Status
Tablet kiosk apps and GOtime5 hardware clocks were frequently showing as offline when they were actually connected. That false status is now corrected.
Kiosk: Smarter Network Outage Handling
The web kiosk now better distinguishes between a true offline state and a server-side issue, and falls back to offline mode more reliably during clock-in when connectivity drops.

Mobile App

Profile Photo Capture Restored
Employees can once again capture and update their profile photo directly from the mobile app.

Notable Fixes

  • GOtime5 Network Recovery: Physical clocks no longer freeze on a blank screen when reconnecting after an offline session.
  • ACH Verification: The micro-deposit verification button no longer gets stuck on "Verifying..." when there is a problem with the submission.
  • Labor Allocation Display: Allocation view now renders correctly in time cards that include future punches with no allocation set.
  • Graphical View Focus Jump: Tabbing after editing a punch time no longer jumps the page to an off-screen element.
  • User Search: Clicking a highlighted search result now correctly loads that employee.
  • Grid View Labor Colors: Non-home labor transfer badges now display the correct labor category color.
  • iPad Kiosk Camera: Toggling camera orientation no longer causes the kiosk app to lock up.

Introducing TimeTrakGO Ultimate

TimeTrakGO Ultimate is our new premium edition designed for organizations that need advanced labor management, flexible pay policies, custom payroll integrations, and AI-powered workforce insights. The following features are exclusive to the Ultimate edition.

Labor Allocation
Allocate employee hours across cost centers, departments, jobs, tasks, and more, with fully customizable field names to match your organization's terminology. Labor allocation gives you granular visibility into where time is being spent and supports more accurate job costing and departmental reporting.
Premium Day in Pay Policy
Pay policies now support a Premium Day designation, allowing you to configure elevated pay rates, such as double time, for specific days of the week. This is ideal for organizations that compensate employees at a premium rate on days like Sundays or holidays.
Custom Export Designer
Build your own CSV export layouts tailored to your payroll processor, ERP, or any third-party system. The Custom Export Designer gives you full control over column selection, field mapping, and output format, eliminating manual data manipulation and reducing integration effort.
AI Connect: MCP Server Integration
AI Connect exposes a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets you link third-party AI tools, such as Claude, directly to your TimeTrakGO data. Ask questions, surface insights, and explore workforce trends using natural language, without leaving your preferred AI assistant.

Time & Hours: New Grid View

Grid View: An Alternative to the Graphical Time Card
Time & Hours now offers a Grid View as a complement to the existing graphical time card. The grid presents time data in a structured, tabular format with customizable columns. It includes separate grids for Punches, Hours, Transfers, and Schedule, giving managers and employees a flexible, data-dense view that is easy to scan and filter.

Labor Allocation & Transfers

Transfer at Clock-In
All clocking options, including the web clock, Kiosk, and GO Clock self-service, have been updated to support labor transfers at the time of clocking in. Employees can select their department, job, or other configured labor field directly from the clock-in screen, keeping allocation data accurate in real time.
Required Labor Field at Clock-In
Labor fields can now be marked as required. When enabled, employees must select a value from the configured list before they are permitted to clock in. This ensures complete and consistent labor data without relying on after-the-fact corrections.

Plan Management

Plan Selection, Plan Summary & Payment Update

New Plan Selection, Plan Summary, and Payment Update screens have been added, giving administrators a streamlined way to review their current subscription, compare available plans, and update billing information, all within the TimeTrakGO interface.

Dashboard Improvements

New Labor Allocation Section
The dashboard now includes a dedicated Labor Allocation section, providing an at-a-glance view of how hours are being distributed across departments, jobs, and cost centers for the current period.
Improved Tab View & Visual Appearance
The dashboard tab view has been reorganized for better clarity and navigation. We have also refreshed the visual appearance of the dashboard and Time & Hours modal windows for a cleaner, more modern look.

Reporting Enhancements

Faster Pivot Grid Performance
Reporting pivot grids have been updated for significantly faster data loading and manipulation. Sorting, filtering, and grouping large data sets is now noticeably more responsive.

  • Security Enhancements: Several security improvements have been applied across the platform to strengthen data protection and access controls.
  • Speed Improvements: General performance optimizations have been made in several areas of the application, resulting in faster load times and a more responsive experience.

Time Off & Accruals

New Feature: Fiscal Year Start Date
You can now define your organization's fiscal year start date directly in TimeTrakGO. This provides better alignment for reporting, audits, and year-end reviews, especially for organizations that do not follow a January 1 fiscal calendar. Reports and summaries will now reflect your selected fiscal structure for greater accuracy and consistency.

Kiosk App Updates

Improved Experience

The Kiosk app has received stability improvements along with user interface refinements. These updates improve reliability for shared clock environments and create a smoother, more intuitive experience for employees clocking in and out.

Reporting Enhancements

Improved Audit Trail Speed
Audit Trail reports have been significantly optimized. These reports now generate much faster, making it easier to review changes, verify time card activity, and support payroll or compliance reviews without long wait times.

Fixes and Reliability Improvements

  • System Performance: We completed major core system updates designed to improve speed and responsiveness across the platform.
  • GO Clock Self-Service: Access issues have been resolved, ensuring consistent availability for employees.
  • Kiosk PIN Creation: A bug affecting Kiosk PIN creation has been fixed, allowing PINs to be created and used without interruption.
  • Updated Time Zones: We've updated our global time zone database to provide better precision for teams operating across multiple regions.
