Lock the Kiosk App on Screen (Android App Pinning)

Keep the Kiosk App on screen so it can't be closed.

App pinning keeps one app on the screen until you unpin it. Pin the TimeTrakGO Kiosk App so employees can't close it or open other apps on the time clock tablet.

Step 1 Turn On App Pinning

  1. Open the tablet's Settings app.
  2. Tap Security (or Security & location), then Advanced, then App pinning.
  3. Turn on App pinning.

Note: If you can't find App pinning, check with your device manufacturer. When app pinning is on, you need to enter your PIN, pattern, or password to unpin.

Step 2 Pin the Kiosk App

  1. Open the TimeTrakGO Kiosk App.
  2. Swipe up to the middle of the screen to open the Overview.
  3. At the top of the app's image, tap the app's icon.
  4. Tap Pin.

Step 3 Unpin the Kiosk App

To unpin, use the method for your navigation style:

  • Gesture navigation: Swipe up and hold.
  • 2-button navigation: Touch and hold Back and Home.
  • 3-button navigation: Touch and hold Back and Overview.

If you're asked for your PIN, pattern, or password, enter it.
